The architectural split block wall was very porous and was allowing water to enter the building through the block. Open mortar and failing caulk joints contributed to the problem. Left un-addressed, damage to the individual blocks and the structure of the wall as a whole was inevitable. The client required an aesthetically appealing as well as flexible, waterproof coating.

			The open mortar joints were cut out and patch pointed. All caulk joints (control, window, and door) were cut out, packed, primed, and re-caulked. The wall was then pressure washed to remove all dust, dirt, and other surface contaminants. Thortex Poly-Tech B.P. Primer was applied to the block wall, prior to a two coat application of Thortex Poly-Tech. Thortex Poly-Tech is a high performance, elastomeric system.
